Hair for Autumn and Winter 2019

hair@wentworthHair, Hair Autumn Winter

Here is the latest hot hair tips for this autumn and winter 2019.

Hair @ Wentworth has put together our prediction for autumn and winter’s latest hair colours, hair cuts and hair styling for 2019. Read on for more ideas!

Hair colour this season is opting for more natural hues that suit your skin tones and eye colours. Hair colour has soft variations in texture such as baby lights, highlighting and subtle ombre’s.

Blondes are French inspired vanilla creams and soft golds, less of the Nordic icy blondes,  silvers and pastel toners. Some blondes are heading into the warmer shades such as rose gold. Try 3 – 4 different shades blending together in baby lights with your next hair appointment adding more colour to your hair after the summer tan fades.

Reds are soft but warm in a combination of gold, titan, copper and caramels. Once again colours are blended and highlighted in subtle tones to add more texture lift and lightness to the reds.

Brunettes are cooler this year with ashy tones, mochas and chestnuts. The deeper browns are opulent and rich. To achieve this look we recommend semi gloss colours to add extra shine to the hair.

Short hair is textured and choppy but not clipper short. Softness is left around the hairline and nape to give a more feminine pixie look. Another great look this season is  blunt bobs for shorter hair.

Blunt bobs can suit all face shapes, your face shape determines which length would suit you best.

Mid-length hair this season the Lob is still popular either straight and blunt or textured and wavy. If you are ready to move away from the Lob why not try some face framing layers and peek-a-boo fringes for a softer more versatile look. This style complements the textured colours this autumn and winter.

Long hair this year has lots of styles and inspirations –

Pin Straight Hair.

The 90’s Hair is here to stay! Pin straight hair is in for Autumn, with rich bold glossy colours as a base to any style you want to rock.  This season it’s all about the glossy finish. To add extra shine we suggest a semi gloss shine great to tone blondes, warm up redheads and add richness to brunettes while blending highlights. Don’t forget the keratin smoothing hair treatment to help keep your hair smooth this season. While styling we recommend Keune’s Brilliantine Gel to give a shiny wet look to finish with.

Modern Top Knots

For an effortless easy imperfect perfect look, look no further than the Top Knot. This style is fun, flirtatious, bold and is well..  Effortless. Try all up and sleek, or wispy pieces left out to frame the face or a partial topknot leaving the back down. This style works well for our busy lifestyle, also great for rainy days.

The Done – Undone Done right!

Moving on from the smooth sleek straight hair, the lived in morning after texture is the look straight off the runway into your everyday life. Great news for the fan of the 3 day blowdry see how easy it can be and how to achieve 3 great looks from one blowdry!

Day one –  go for the smooth sleek shiny blowdry finishing off the hair with O&M Frizzy logic serum or shine spray to smooth down some of those ends, protect your hair with Keune’s Humidity shield – our umbrella for hair!

Day 2 –  grab the Irons or wand and put in some soft waves – don’t forget to protect your hair with Keune’s hot iron spray – smooth the waves with a paddle brush and a little Frizzy logic shine spray for a sophisticated soft look.

Day 3 – Our hint is to purchase one of our great dry shampoo/texturizers as part of your at home hair arsenal. We love O&M’s Desert Dry and Keune’s Dry Texturizer to extend a great blowdry and give that awesome lived in “beachy” texture. They can be sprayed all over but we recommend mainly on the root area to add volume (and absorb any oil from the scalp). Break up the waves from yesterday with your fingers to achieve  that fresh “Done, Undone” look. There is no structure to this style, it’s all about the tousled carefree texture. This style can be extended or varied further by either a loose ponytail or top knot.
